The Competition

The taekwondo competition will take place between 17 - 23 July in Essen, Germany.

The first World University Taekwondo Championship was held in 1986 at the University of California, in Berkeley, near San Francisco, and was introduced to the Summer Universiades as an optional sport in Daegu, South Korea in 2003.
