In a landmark strategic partnership, UniSport Australia has joined forces with Adecco and the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to conduct Pre-Entry Fitness Assessments (PFAs) for aspiring defence force personnel. The PFAs, which set the minimum standard for entry into ADF service roles, will be conducted at member universities and partnership delivery sites across Australia. UniSport will also deliver bespoke Strength and Conditioning programs to pre-enlistment candidates helping prepare them for optimal PFA performance.
With ADF candidates required to pass their PFA within six weeks of their Enlistment date, UniSport’s national reach, high quality facilities and highly qualified network coaches provide an ideal, accessible environment for these time sensitive assessments and conditioning training programs.

"This partnership not only reinforces the value that sport brings to the broader university community but also highlights UniSport’s ability to respond rapidly to large-scale complex projects," said Mark Sinderberry, UniSport CEO. "The collaboration with Adecco and the ADF aligns with UniSport's aspiration to provide significant value to our members, delivering both immediate results and long-term opportunities."
“The partnership between UniSport and Adecco to support Defence Force Recruiting Pre-Entry Fitness Assessments is a game-changer for aspiring candidates,” an Adecco spokesperson added, “By integrating targeted strength and conditioning programs, this collaboration ensures recruits are better equipped to meet the rigorous fitness standards required to join the military. It's a powerful initiative that not only enhances readiness but also fosters long-term health and performance for future service members”
Together with the sport delivery agencies, UniSport has been able to demonstrate an ability to facilitate the development of future opportunities in short timeframes. This collaboration will also provide potential research opportunities for the university sector, providing further value to the partnership.
"Our university network allows for rapid deployment and quality-controlled assessment processes that meet the unique demands of a variety of national organisations," Sinderberry added.
