The Emerging Opals and the Emerging Boomers have both announced their squads to compete at the 2019 Summer Universiade in Naples, Italy.
The Emerging Opals squad welcomes back Abigail Wehrung, Alex Sharp, Keely Froling and Lauren Scherf who will return to defend their gold medal winning feats from two years ago in Taipei.
Froling, Scherf, and Wehrung are joined by fellow WNBL players Anneli Maley, Lara McSpadden,
Stephanie Reid and Maddi Rocci, with Commonwealth Games silver medallist and Seattle Storm’s number 12 draft pick Eziyoda Magbegor adding a wealth of experience to this already talented
group.

The Emerging Boomers return to the Summer Universiade boosted by the inclusion of Brisbane Bullets player Will Magnay.
Another one to watch is Duke University’s Jack White who will be looking to impress and improve on the Emerging Boomers 9th placed finish at the 29th Summer Universiade in Taipei two years ago.
The Emerging Boomers will be boosted by the inclusion of four student-athletes who are honing their skills in the USA and Hawaii.
