The second intervarsity Oztag Championship took place at the University of Wollongong (UOW) across the weekend of 14 and 15 September.

In total, 10 teams competed from six universities including UOW, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Notre Dame University Australia (NDA), Australian College of Physical Education (ACPE), Western Sydney University (WS) and the University of New South Wales (UNSW).

UOW took out the men’s comp on home soil while WS took out the mixed division in a final battle for the ages.

Coming up against UNSW, scores were tied at full time as the match headed into golden point drop off.

Once the player count had dropped to 4-a-side, WS proved too strong taking out the win.

Across the competition all sides showed fantastic spirit, comradery and leadership.
