Catriona undoubtedly had the most memorable moment of the event in her solo ran sub-two minutes in the women’s 800m (1:59.78), not only smashing the UniSport record but posting the fourth fastest Australian time in history and the first sub-two Australian performance in over ten years.
Catriona was overcome by emotion who also ran a World Championship qualifier which will see her compete for Australia in Doha, Qatar later this year.
Looking back on the record breaking time, Bisset was as shocked as she was relieved.

“I was shocked (when I saw the clock). I was running scared the whole time.
“I had no idea I was going to get a qualifier, that was completely not in the plan for the year.”
