T20 Cricket

In 2024, T20 Cricket will be contested in a men's competition on the Sunshine Coast, QLD in July. Matches will be spread out across Maroochydore Cricket Club and Caloundra Cricket Club.

UniSport Australia respectfully acknowledges the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi People; the traditional owners of the land on which the 2024 Nationals T20 Cricket will take place. 

Australian University T20 Cricket Team selected for an Indian Tour
For the first time at this years UniSport Nationals T20 Cricket competition an Australian University Men's Team of 16 players will be selected. Students will need to be competing at this years competition at the Sunshine Coast and be an Australian Citizen.

The tour is currently in the planning stages with the Association of Indian Universities with our Australian team to travel to India from 25 November to 5 December 2024 for a series of  matches against Indian Universities.  A reciprocal tour would then occur in March 2025 with an Indian representative team touring Australia with matches prioritised against UniSport Nationals T20 teams.  Over the following year the organisations will both look to grow and implement a Women's T20 international opportunity.
