The 2025 FISU Summer Games will feature Judo competitions from 17-26 July 2025, set to take place in Essen, Germany.

Judo is a traditional Japanese martial art which relies on core strength, and the person who dominates the grip is usually in the best position to dominate the fight. Derived from the jiu-jitsu hand-to-hand combat technique used by samurai warriors, Judo is based on a philosophical principle of maximising efficiency and minimising effort.
